Theatre | I promise myself Modern
In an undetermined year, before the common era, Prometheus made a promise and kept it. And he was punished for it. In 17–, above the village of Chamounix, Switzerland, the Creature tells its story to its creator.
In 1818, in England, Mary Shelley publishes Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. In 1995, in San Francisco, Susan Stryker writes My Words to Victor Frankenstein above the Village of Chamounix – Performing Transgender Rage. In 2025, in Portugal, a trans artist sees themselves as part of all this. All these fragments. All broken. All together.
