Queer Lisboa – International Queer Film Festival is back at Cinema São Jorge and Cinemateca Portuguesa from 18 to 26 September.

The oldest film festival in Lisbon is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year with a special edition featuring around a hundred films, the presence of various national and international guests, as well as a series of parties at several iconic venues of Lisbon’s nightlife scene.

Besides the official competitions, an extensive retrospective of queer cinema classics entitled “Reclaiming Futures: queer cinema through the looking glass”, and family films, highlights include films such as “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” and “Amarga Navidad” as special screenings, “The Man I Love” and “Tangles”, opening and closing the festival respectively, and the much-anticipated comedy “Stop! That! Train!”, starring RuPaul and former contestants from Drag Race.
