Jardim Vasco da Gama in Belém
8th and 9th October
Lisboa City Hall in collaboration with the Portuguese League for Animal Rights celebrates another edition of World Animal Day, at Jardim Vasco da Gama in Belém, on 8th and 9th October.
Casa dos Animais de Lisboa will be there with an exhibition on the performance data over the last years - adoption rates, treatments, surgeries, animals collected, capture program, sterilization and return of wild cats. Several animals that are up for adoption will make a parade, a real Dog Models, to raise awareness for the prevention of abandonment and to encourage the adoption of animals.
The event will be attended by several associations dedicated to the animal cause and that also provide animals for adoption.
Several activities are scheduled, among which: parades, blessing of the animals present, workshops for children, demonstrations of police and militarized dog squads, and also a new type of dog training, the Mondioring.
Come and visit the animals for adoption and, who knows, find the next member of your family.
