Tony Conrad

From music to video and cinema, also passing through painting, Tony Conrad is considered one of the biggest names of experimentalism in western art.

This exhibition showcases, for the first time in Portugal, some of his most important works. In what cinematography is concerned, the film "The Flicker" (1966) and the show "Yellow Movies" will be shown (1972-73).

In the latter, the artist seeks a merger between photography, painting and cinema. With an artistic career marked by the normative aspects of culture and the ability to respond to them in a critical and humorous way, this exhibition presents several works from the different areas the artists has worked in throughout his career.
