     TRAVEL Services and information

 

Due to government measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, there are many restrictions on schedules, accesses and regular behaviours.

• For those traveling :
      
       - Travelers may request the EU COVID Digital Certificate to facilitate safe and free movement within the European Union, simplifying the travel process upon arrival in the country of destination: www.sns24.gov.pt
       - Mandatory presentation of a RT-PCR test to covid-19 with a negative result, carried out within the last 72h, at the entry of Portugal, by air or sea.
       - Travellers from high-risk countries (more info at www.sef.pt) , in addition to presenting the test with negative result, must complete a 14-day isolation period after entry to mainland Portugal, either at home or at a place determined by Health Authorities.

 

Other measures

• The use of a mask is mandatory on public services and on the street whenever social distancing is not guaranteed. This requirement is mandatory for all older than 10 years old.
• Consumption of alcoholic beverages on the street is prohibited.
 

 

 

      Schedules:

 

              • From July 2nd to 16th - night-time curfew between 23:00 until 05:00.

              • Access to restaurants and hotels will be allowed with the presentation of the EU Covid Digital Certificate or a negative test, children under 12 are exempt. Specifically for restaurants, this rule is only valid from 7 pm on Friday and during the weekend. Tests are required to have meals in the indoor areas of the restaurants, terraces don't require any test presentation.

                   Types of test allowed:
                   • RT-PCR Test (or similar NAAT test) - made 72h prior to presentation;
                   • Antigen Test -  with laboratory report, made 48 hours prior to presentation;
                   • Rapid antigen test (self-test kit), made 24 hours prior to presentation in the presence of a healthcare or pharmaceutical professional;
                   • Rapid antigen test (self-test kit), made at the moment and at the establishment door and under surveillance by those responsible the restaurant.

              • Cinemas, theatres, auditoriums and concert halls - until 22h30.

              • All shopping centres and shops
                   - Supermarket and food stores: working days: 21h00 | 19h00 on weekends and holidays;
                   - Shops in general: working days: 21h00 | 15h30 on weekends and holidays;
                   - Restaurant area: working days: 22h30 | 15h30 on weekends and holidays;
                       *These schedule limitations do not apply to essential services, such as: health services, pharmacies, veterinary services or fuel supply.

              • Restaurants and cafes with limited capacity;
                   - closing hour: 22:30h | 15h30 on weekends and holidays;
                   - Interior - maximum capacity of 4 people per table;
                   - terraces - maximum capacity of 6 people per table;

              • Bars / Nightclubs - remain closed.

              • Allowed only medium risk sports and physical activity outdoors limited to 6 people

              • Outdoor events under capacity rules, weddings and baptisms with only 25% of the venue capacity.
