     TRAVEL Services and information

 

Due to government measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, there are many restrictions on schedules, accesses and regular behaviours.

• For those traveling :
      
       - Mandatory presentation of a RT-PCR test to covid-19 with a negative result, carried out within the last 72h, at the entry of continental territory, by air or sea.
       - Travellers from high-risk countries, in addition to presenting the test with negative result, must complete a 14-day isolation period after entry to mainland Portugal, either at home or at a place determined by Health Authorities. Isolation does not apply to passengers on essential travel and whose length of stay in the national territory, certified by a return ticket, does not exceed 48 hours.

Other measures

• The use of a mask is mandatory on public services and on the street whenever social distancing is not guaranteed. This requirement is mandatory for all older than 10 years old.
• Consumption of alcoholic beverages on the street is prohibited.
• The possibility of taking body temperature measurements, by non-invasive means, in controlling access to: 
       - commercial spaces;
       - means of transport.

 

 

 

      From April 19th it reopens:

              • Cinemas, theatres, auditoriums and concert halls.

              • All shops and shopping centres.
                 - Capacity: limit of 5 people per 100 sqm and 2 metres of distance
                 - Timetable: will close at 21:00h on weekdays and 13:00h on weekends and holidays.
                        (*) Exceptions:
                             - Food distribution services, such as supermarkets, will also close at 21:00h on weekdays and on weekends/holidays will close at 19:00h.
                             - These schedule limitations do not apply to essential services, such as: health services, pharmacies, veterinary services or fuel supply.

              • Restaurants and cafes with limited capacity;
                     - Interior - maximum capacity of 4 people per table;
                     - terraces - maximum capacity of 6 people per table;
                     - opening hours until: weekdays > 22:30h | weekends > 13:00h.

              • Medium-risk sports and physical activity outdoors up to six people. The gyms can also reopen, however without group classes.

              • Outdoor events under capacity rules (5 persons per 100sqm.), weddings and baptisms with only 25% of the venue capacity.

 

                     # Already available:

                            - Museums, monuments, palaces and art galleries.
                            - Bookshops, libraries and archives;
                            - Hairdressers, manicurists and similar establishments.
                            - Fairs and non-food markets (under decision at a municipal level).

 

      From May 3rd it reopens:

              • Restaurants, cafes and pastry shops can reopen with no time restrictions, but with limited capacity:
                     - Interior - maximum capacity of 6 people per table;
                     - Terraces - maximum capacity of 10 people per table.
