The Museum aims to inform the public of the essential condition of Macau as Portugal’s and Europe’s meeting point par excellence with China. It also strives to highlight the importance of the thousand year old heritage of the Chinese civilization and it is one of the most important collections of Chinese art in the Iberian Peninsula and the only historical-cultural Museum about Macau outside the People’s Republic of China.
