Details

During the 1940s, the sculptor Joaquim Valente created a bust of a singing Amalia Rodrigues with her head inclined, eyes closed and a serene face.

The image of this sculpture became iconic in 1962 when it was chosen for the cover of the album in which the singer began her artistic partnership with the composer Alain Oulman.

While the album was untitled, it has become known as Bust. This exhibition tells the story of this bust.
