“Amor Azul” is one of Gilberto Gil’s most ambitious works, conceived in collaboration with conductor Aldo Brizzi, based on the classical Indian poem Gita Govinda, and is set to be performed on 10 October at the Coliseu dos Recreios.

Internationally acclaimed, this opera comes exclusively to the Portuguese capital for a one-off performance, in an expanded, large-scale production, bringing together on stage Gilberto Gil, the Núcleo de Ópera da Bahia, a choir, an orchestra and Aldo Brizzi as musical director.
