Vila Franca de Xira is asserting itself as the capital of Photography until 23 March'25.

BF24 - Biennial of Photography is a landmark event on the photography scene and consolidates Vila Franca de Xira as the centre of artistic innovation and a platform for cultural dialogue, celebrating the richness and diversity of contemporary photography.

The Vila Franca de Xira Biennial of Photography is the oldest awards event exclusively dedicated to photographic culture in Portugal, and therefore boasts a remarkable track record in terms of promoting Portuguese photographic practice.

The event presents, in various venues in Vila Franca de Xira, the various works of the participants in the competition as well as works by guest artists included in the curatorial programme.
