Lisbon Busking Festival (Chapéus na Rua) is a street arts festival that takes place annually since 2016., in the parish of Arroios, in Lisbon, Portugal.
This year it will take place from the 18th to the 20th of September at Campo Mártires da Pátria, Mercado de Culturas, Mercado de Arroios and Chapitô, following the prevention guidelines to Covid-19.
During these days, we invite circus artists, jugglers, acrobats, clowns, puppets, living statues, improvised poetry, dance, theater, performance, music and anything else that the imagination can guess to Lisbon.
The artists will make their performances and at the end they will pass on their hat so that the spectator, according to their opinion and within their possibilities, makes a contribution to the spectacle they have seen. This is called Busking or "Passar Chapéu" and it is an old practice to act in public spaces where the presence or entrance is free and the remuneration of the artists derives from the contributions of the public through the use of the hat.
In this edition, all shows will have limited capacity.
