Details

City of Glass is the first part of the novel The New York Trilogy by American writer Paul Auster, a fascinating story in which Auster coined some of the traits of his literary style: a game of ambiguity between reality and fiction, the disintegration of the main character, the severing of his relationship with society, mourning but also some references to the literary canon such as, in this particular case, Don Quixote or Alice in Wonderland.

An eclectic improviser and prolific composer, Daniel Bernardes plunges once again into the universe of choral music, continuing the partnership with Coro Ricercare that began with the disc Beethoven... Reminiscências. Pedro Teixeira, a leading figure in choral music, is the principal conductor of the Ricercare Choir and is responsible for the preparation of this programme, with Pedro Moreira in charge of the project's musical direction. His vast experience as a jazz improviser and conductor will ensure the interaction between the Choir and the Jazz Trio and the dichotomy between written music and improvised music. Paul Auster's story will serve as a guiding thread for this stimulating musical dialogue.
