10.09 – 04.10.2026
Libretto, music and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein
The work is based on events that took place in the town of Gander, Newfoundland (Canada), in the week following the attacks of 11 September 2001.
During this period, with US airspace closed, 38 planes carrying around 7,000 passengers were diverted to Gander.
The town's residents welcomed these people, offering them accommodation, food and support until they could continue their journey.
