Complete Mozart Piano Sonatas, a series never before staged in Portugal, comprising six recitals performed by Artur Pizarro at the Convent of São Pedro de Alcântara between September and October.
To mark the 270th anniversary of Mozart’s birth, it's presented the Complete Mozart Piano Sonatas, a series never before staged in Portugal, comprising six recitals performed by Artur Pizarro. The concerts will take place at the Convent of São Pedro de Alcântara in Lisbon on 19 and 26 September and 3, 10, 17 and 24 October, always at 7.00 pm.
Throughout this series, Mozart’s complete piano sonatas will be performed, in what is a truly exceptional event. The complete performance of these works in concert is rare, even on an international level, and represents an artistic challenge that few pianists set out to undertake.
Artur Pizarro, one of Portugal’s most internationally renowned pianists, will also revive the order of performance chosen by Sequeira Costa for his historic complete cycle in 1956, playing the works as parts of a single musical journey.
