Cycle "Cinema According to Pasolini"
To celebrate the life and work of Pier Paolo Pasolini, born on March 5, 1922, Risi Film, with the support of the Instituto Italiano de Cultura de Lisboa, presents the cycle “Cinema according to Pier Paolo Pasolini” with the first 6 works restored on the occasion of the centenary of one of the greatest intellectuals of the 20th century.

These are 5 fiction feature films and 1 documentary in new restored copies. The cycle begins with the director's first film, "Accattone" (1961), followed by some of Pasolini's most emblematic and controversial cinematographic works, such as Mamma Roma (1962), Il Vangelo secondo Matteo (The Gospel According to St. Matthew | 1964), Comizi d'Amore (Love Meetings | 1965), Uccellacci and Uccellini (The Hawks and the Sparrows |1966) and Edipo Re (Oedipus Rex |1967).
 
A cycle consisting of six essential films by the filmmaker that will be available from April 7, 2022 at Cinema Ideal (Lisbon), UCI Cinemas El Corte Inglés (Lisbon), O Cinema da Villa (Cascais) and Cinema Trindade (Porto) and UCI Cinemas Arrábida Shopping (Porto) moving on to other theaters in the country.

The sessions will be accompanied by conversations and debates, with guests to define, about the filmmaker, his works and how they influenced the thinking of today's society.
