Forest Time
Art project by Evgenia Emets
Estufa Fria: 17th May – 27th August
Monsanto Forest Park: 21st June – 25th August

The new edition of the artistic project Eternal Forest – Forest Time is celebrated in Spring/Summer 2023 and offers a programme that includes exhibitions, artistic journeys and site-specific experiences in two different spaces: in Estufa Fria, inaugurated on May 17th, and in Monsanto Forest Park, inaugurated on June 21st, and a set of parallel activities, such as the publication of a new book focused on the values of nature protection and biodiversity.

Eternal Forest is a multidisciplinary artistic project initiated in 2018 by artist Evgenia Emets, whose mission is to communicate ideas about ecology and biodiversity, connecting people to nature and the forest ecosystem through art.

The project is developed through the creation of artistic works and experiences in the forest and natural spaces, from walks, performances, audio guides, workshops and reflection sessions, with the aim of raising awareness about the protection of nature, aimed at a diversity of participants, from the general public to a multidisciplinary circle of experts, such as scientists, biologists, landscape architects, visual artists, among others.

It has been developed in partnership with several organisations, such as Ce3c (Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Change of the University of Lisbon), CRIA (Centre in Network for Research in Anthropology), Monsanto Forest Park and Estufa Fria, the support of Lisbon City Council.
