The 19th Italian Film Festival returns to Lisbon from 9 to 19 April, with screenings at Cinema São Jorge, Cinemateca Portuguesa and other venues across the city, before travelling to several Portuguese cities until June.
The programme brings together national premieres, emerging talents, thematic focuses and filmmaker talks, celebrating the vitality of both contemporary and classic Italian cinema.
This edition also pays tribute to Claudia Cardinale through a dedicated retrospective, in collaboration with Cinemateca Portuguesa – Museu do Cinema.
Beyond the screenings, the festival offers special events that extend the experience beyond the cinema, linking film with other cultural expressions and inviting audiences to step into the Festival’s atmosphere from the very start.
