The Edifício dos Leões has been transformed into a cultural space that will host "Lar Doce Lar" (Home Sweet Home) in the coming months, an exhibition by the Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos.
This show consists of 16 pieces, spread out as in a house over the building’s three floors.The works include Cinderella’s slipper (2007), the Brise sofa (2001), the Mãe d'Água shower (2019), the Piano Dentelle #3 (2016) and the Carmen lamp (2001).
This is a chance to get to know the work of this internationally-recognised artist, whose creative process is based on the appropriation, decontextualization and subversion of pre-existing objects and everyday realities.
