Lisbonweek'22

In 2022 it celebrates its 10th Anniversary in the Marvila neighborhood! The event will highlight the historical and contemporary, physical and human heritage of this neighborhood!

Lisbonweek returns to the city of Lisbon next May, with events over the weekends.
And, this year all attention is on Marvila where Lisbonweek will celebrate its 10th Anniversary.

It will start on May 1st, Labor Day, symbolic date for the 7th edition of LW where “Work” will be the main theme. Marvila, an industrial district, of iron and barrels, of wine and markets, will talk about its origins. What was Marvila 100 years ago, what it is today.

The Historical Route
The discovery of Marvila's heritage will tour places such as the Fábrica do Braço de Prata, the Páteo Marialva, and the magnificent Palácio da Mitra, but we will also maintain the spirit of freedom of the past edition with the audio tours, where each person can discover some of the most emblematic places in the parish through QR codes in marked places.

The Path of the Arts
In addition to discovering the heritage of Marvila, there will also be an art journey, which will have two dimensions: on the one hand, the opening of the Open Call to young artists to carry out Residencies in the neighborhood, and whose result will be presented during LW'22, and the invitation to renowned artists for site-specific interventions that will later be exhibited in central locations in Marvila, as well as "Meet the artist" in local galleries such as Francisco Fino or Bruno Murias.

Conversations
One of the LW’22 weekends will be dedicated to two conferences: one on work and the other on architecture and cities.

Finally, there will be a closing party!
The full LW’22 programme will be available in early April.
