Monstra - Lisboa Animation Film Festival'24

Monstra is back in Lisboa with hundreds of entries, ranging from feature-length through short to very short films, many having their world, European or national premiere.

MONSTRA is once again spreading film animation across Lisboa.
With around 400 films, including 27 world premieres, 24 international premieres and 143 national premieres, the festival will feature 20 Portuguese films, a special highlight for animated cinema from Ireland as the guest country, an exhibition at the Puppet Museum and, of course, a programme dedicated to children and families, MONSTRINHA.

MONSTRA - Lisboa Animated Film Festival returns for another edition in Portugal, showing audiences the best animation being made from across the world.

Created in 2000 with the intention of celebrating artistic versatility, bringing people from different areas of the arts together and promoting new artistic visions, based on the multidisciplinary medium that is Animated Film, MONSTRA rapidly became a reference on the national scene.

Yearly, films are being shown in competition for Feature Films, Short Films, Student Films, Supershorts, many having their world, European or national premiere.

As usual, a vast selection for all audiences and many workshops and masterclasses from some of the world’s great masters in the art of animation, music and interactive media.
