On 12 and 13 April, the gardens of the Marquês de Pombal Palace will host a magical and colourful event for families: ‘Once Upon a Time in the Marquês Gardens - Springtime’.
From 10am to 9pm, the initiative offers a diverse range of activities designed to promote culture, gastronomy and local commerce, while energising the emblematic Marquês de Pombal Palace.
A day full of live music, theatre, a children's book fair, cookery workshops and even honey making. And if the little ones love animals, they'll be able to meet and brush the ponies while having fun on the carousel.
Among the activities planned are gardening workshops, an egg hunt, educational games and many other surprises, all with the aim of teaching environmental conservation in a fun way. And, of course, a catering area with delicious snacks from the best local bakeries and restaurants to replenish your energy.
With free entry and a programme full of activities, the festival promises to delight young and old alike, celebrating the awakening of spring and nature in a unique way.
