From January 5 until March 31, 2023, the National Museum of Ancient Art and the João Cutileiro Art Center mark the date of the sculptor's death with an evocative exhibition.
In addition to being an unavoidable name in contemporary sculpture, João Cutileiro (Lisbon, 26 June 1937 – Lisbon, 5 January 2021) was an unconditional ally of the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga.
The MNAA evokes his work by exhibiting contemporary works by Teresa Segurado Pavão, an artist who reuses stone fragments donated by the sculptor.
