Portugal's first and largest English-speaking TEDx returns to Lisbon with the theme "What Is Love?". International speakers, live performances and an art exhibition, with live Portuguese translation.
TEDxMarvila is an independently organised, fully non-profit TED event held in Lisbon by Associação Into Change. The 2nd edition — ""What Is Love?"" — takes place on 24 May 2026 at Pátio da Galé, Praça do Comércio, and welcomes around 1,000 attendees.
All talks are delivered in English with live Portuguese translation, reinforcing the event's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
The theme unfolds across four thematic houses — House of Feelings, House of Emotions, House of Actions and House of Illusions — exploring love as a force that shapes humanity, connection, responsibility and progress.
The programme brings together internationally recognised speakers including Haddaway, Carolina Deslandes, Sholeh Wolpé, Stephan Morais, Chitra Stern, Moullinex, Prof. José I.G. Fragata, Ari Peralta and Dan Whitlam, an art exhibition titled "Love at First Sight", a short film featuring Ricardo Pereira and Carolina Deslandes, and live performances by the Metropolitana Orchestra and a gospel choir.
TEDxMarvila is organised by Associação Into Change, a Lisbon-based non-profit.
