The theme of the Great New Year’s Eve Concert is "From Blues to Blue", with which the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by maestro Osvaldo Ferreira, will be ushering in 2020, with classics by Gershwin and the Strauss family.
The line-up includes the works "Symphonic Dances from West Side Story " by Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990), "An American in Paris" by George Gershwin (1898-1937), "Pizzicato-Polka", "Kaiser-Walzer" – the Emperor’s Waltz, "Unter Donner und Blitz" and "An der schönen blauen Donau" – Blue Danube, by Johann Strauss II (1825-1899).
5th January, at 6pm, Altice Arena, Rossio dos Olivais (metro: Oriente).
