The show VARIEDADES (… like an erotic and satirical comic opera) takes to the stage at the Teatro Variedades, in Parque Mayer, between 8 July and 16 August 2026, celebrating the 100-year history of one of Lisbon’s most iconic theatres.

With performances from Wednesday to Saturday at 9 pm and on Sundays at 4 pm, this musical production takes the audience on a journey through memory, fantasy and the traditions of Portuguese theatre.

On stage, ten characters typical of Parque Mayer’s collective imagination become guardians of the stories, songs and moments that have defined the Teatro Variedades over the course of a century.

Blurring the lines between reality and fiction, the show combines live music, humour and emotion in a world inspired by revue, musical theatre and comic opera.
