Alfredo Cunha’s photography exhibition marks 50 years of his career and includes more than 60 images of women from around the world.
The exhibits include portraits captured in countries including India, Jordan, Timor-Leste, Brazil, Haiti and Sri Lanka.
The photojournalist’s lens has captured women in different contexts and episodes of cultural, social, religious and collective life.
The texts that accompany the images were written by the journalist Maria Antónia Palla, who is one of the country’s leading defenders of women’s rights.
