The ancestral techniques and traditions of Portuguese popular arts, and those from various parts of the world, come together in a major international fair.
According to tradition, Estoril hosts the oldest crafts fair in Portugal, the Estoril Crafts Fair (FIARTIL).
This is the time and place to watch live demonstrations of different creations by some of the most experienced artisans, in a meeting of cultures and knowledge that renews itself year after year.
To learn some tips, you can participate in several live demonstrations, led by the most experienced craftsmen.
And where there is knowledge there are also flavours, through an inviting gastronomic offering that includes, among a wide variety of specialties served in the fair’s three restaurants, two ever-popular classics: pão com chouriço (chorizo roll) and caldo verde (kale and potato soup).
Besides the exhibitions and regional cuisine, music and entertainment are hallmark of this event, which over the years has hosted well known names from the Portuguese music scene.
