IndieLisboa'23

The IndieLisboa festival offers films, short films, animation, documentaries for us to discover over 12 days ... a celebration of independent cinema!

This year, the festival focusing on the seventh art celebrates its 20th edition and has more than 250 films of different genres to show.

The event will open with ‘Something You Said Last Night’, a debut from director and screenwriter Luis De Filippis, and close with ‘The Adults’, the new film by Dustin Guy Defa, between drama and comedy, that American independent cinema has been so good at exploring in recent decades.

More than 40 films participate in the section International Competition and the section dedicated to the bewildering and bizarre, ‘Boca do Inferno’, offers a vast and varied line-up, ranging from comedy to the Japanese sci-fi classics.

The festival is intended for all ages, with Indiejúnior offering the session ‘Curtas na piscina’ (Short films in the pool), ‘Curtas para Toda a Família’ (Short films for all the family) and ‘Cinema ao Colo’ (Lap cinema).

Besides the showing of films, IndieLisboa brings the LisbonTalks, with masterclasses, talks and debates about cinema, as well as the official IndieByNight parties.
