QUEER LISBOA - International Queer Film Festival'23

[ September ] Queer Lisboa is the sole Portuguese Film Festival dedicated exclusively to screen LGBT themed films, and movies dealing with subjects or aesthetics related to issues such as gender, identities or bodies, a genre known as Queer Cinema.

Queer Lisboa is the only national film festival with the specific purpose of showing films on gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, intersex and other sexualities and non-normative identities, in a genre internationally coined as “Queer Cinema”.

This edition seeks to look beyond borders, with the film “La Bête dans la jungle”, by Patric Chiha, being chosen as the opening film and “Queendom” as the closing film.

In the meantime, “Passages” and “Sisi & I” stand out, as well as other biographical titles that bring social and cultural issues to the discussion.
