If you think the Castle of São Jorge is old, wait until you see the objects and remains of the inhabitants of this hill over the more than 25 centuries of settlements.

It’s hard forgetting the view from Lisbon castle. It is one of those things that has to be seen. But it’s even more difficult to take your eyes off it and enter the Núcleo Museológico do Castelo, where you’ll discover who lived here and how before the Christian reconquest.

But it’s worth it. Discover the 500 years of Moorish occupation of the capital, mainly in accounts from the 11th and 12th centuries, at the time of the construction of the castle.

Discover the Moorish Alcáçova and its Praça Nova, as well as the various objects that show the daily life of the inhabitants at the time.

Also discover the various inhabitants who have lived here over 25 centuries through their unique and impressive objects, coins and remains.

As unique as the city which extends into the distance.
