Alkantara Festival'22
From 11 to 27 November, Alkantara Festival invites artists and audiences to an international programme of dance, theatre, performance and meetings, spread throughout the city of Lisbon.

The Alkantara festival, which continues the work of the project known as Danças na Cidade (‘Dances in the City’), defines itself as an international dance, theatre, performance and encounters festival in the city of Lisboa.
In its third edition, it again presents shows and projects which try unconventional approaches, crossing new artistic practices.
‘Sun & Sea’, an opera on the beach, ‘The making of Pinocchio’, a story of love and transition, told through Carlo Collodi’ narrative, and ‘Sacrifice while lost in salted earth’, a journey through the meaning of the word sacrifice, which is based on the Iranian poem ‘Rite of Spring’, are some of the scheduled shows.
