Ideally aged in oak barrels, it has an orangey aroma and is very intense. Full bodied and velvety, it is a dessert in itself which must be tasted at all cost. The red muscatel, also produced in the region but in smaller quantity, has a more complex nutty aroma and is considered a finer wine.
